After years of quarrelling, peace has been re-established in this small 20-unit apartment block. Weekly fitness and personal enrichment activities have enabled a number of residents who didn’t know one another to spend some quality together. They found out they have quite a lot in common. For several residents who are otherwise socially isolated, this was a breath of fresh air. It was a special opportunity to build meaningful ties with their fellow residents.

Our team embraces a collaborative, hands-on approach to social housing matters, playing the role of an outreach advisor. We forge meaningful ties through constructive initiatives and activities. This grassroots model helps us have a clearer grasp of the issues at stake.
Our efforts can also be preventive in nature. By building trust with the people we work with, we can better defuse crisis, or potential crisis, situations before they degenerate further.
Our outreach advisors at MAVN provide the following to tenants and their families as needed:
An opportunity to be heard

Review of their needs
Civic support
Risk screening
Prevention of various forms of abuse
